Christianity and Blind Faith

Christianity is not called a faith because it takes faith to believe in an invisible God -- the proof of God's existence is all around us. Christianity is not a blind faith.

One of the reasons Christianity is called a faith because it takes faith to believe in salvation. There is nothing we can do to earn eternal life. Not a thing. We can not work our way into heaven. We can not learn enough to get into heaven. We can not get into heaven by thinking the right thoughts. Our salvation is through God's grace alone -- and that takes trust. We need to completely trust God and His grace for our salvation -- and that is true faith.
