Do I Have to Believe in the Trinity to Become A Christian?

The church did not come to accept the Trinity until about AD 400. For 350 years there was debate and in-fighting over what the Bible was saying. Finally, in the late 4th century church leaders agreed to accept exactly what the Bible said: that God exists as three persons, all three are fully God, and there is only one God. And they accepted that we--as limited humans--can not fully understand God.

You do not have to believe in the Trinity to become a Christian, and you will never understand the Trinity and you meet God in heaven. But the chances are that after you accept Christ as your Lord and savior the Holy Spirit will teach you about God's word and lead you to have faith that God exists as a Trinity.
