Instant Belief in the Bibke

Does becoming a Christian instantly change you so you believe and understand everything in the Bible?

No.

When we accept Christ the Holy Spirit comes to us to instruct and teach. But it takes time to learn, and some things we may never understand. For example, Romans 1:20 says: "For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse." How does that work?

When I accepted Christ that was one of my first questions. I could not understand what Romans 1:20 was saying. I asked my pastor. I asked a professor at a seminary. I asked experienced Christians. No one could explain it to me so that I could understand.

A few years after accepting Christ I saw a video titled "Unlocking the Mystery of Life". The Holy Spirit used that video to open my mind and teach me. I understood Romans 1:20.

There are still many things in the Bible I don't understand. But I know, that at the right time, the Holy Spirit will guide me and teach me everything I need to know.
