Christians Aren't Acting Like Christians
A recent survey reveals that only 8% of Christian teenagers feel that downloading copyrighted music from the internet or copying music CDs is wrong.
While the Bible does not specifically say that copying music is a sin, Romans 13 does say that it is a sin to disobey laws put in place by government (unless obeying government laws results in disobeying God). In our system of law the person who creates art, such as music, owns it. And to take that music, by making copies, is stealing from the creator of the music. Legally it is very simple -- copying music is illegal and to do so means you are disobeying God.
So what's with all the Christian teenagers copying (stealing) Christian music? What's with ALL THE CHRISTIAN PARENTS not properly leading and instructing their children?
As Christians we are to be a light to the world. Sin, such as stealing, brings darkness.
