Living A Christ-like Life In An UnGodly World
The second half of Ephesians (chapters 4-6) is becoming my favorite part ofthe Bible. The book of Ephesians specifically addresses the problem we face in America today--how can a Christian live a Christ-like life in an unGodly world?
Chapters 1-3 describe who we were and who we are now. Chapter 4-6 describe how to live a Christ-like life in an unGodly world (Ephesus, at the time of Paul, was the center for worship of Artimus, and was VERY unGodly). Unlike Ephesus, we here in America face hidden challenges. In Ephesus pagan worship of Artimus, idol worship and occult practices were highly visible. In America the attack against Christianity is largely unseen. It is spearheaded by our wealth and comfort. Our fear of loosing our wealth and comfort leads us to inaction when instead we should be working for God.
Abortion is a good example. Since the Supreme Court declared abortion legal in America over 40,000,000 people have been murdered. Whilethe abortion rate has declined recently, there are still over 1,300,000 people being mudered every year. Where are the Christians!? Where are we?
Look at how the non-Christians in America (and Christians too) cried out against AIDS -- yet AIDS never came close to killing even 1/10th the number of people as abortion does.

Glad to see you back.
You are so right. We live surrounded by evil and don't even see it, let alone condemn it.
