Tolerance - Tolerance of Sin

Our culture says we should tolerate others. Accept them for who they are. That sounds good, but is it true? We know we are to love even our enemies, but does love include toleration of their sins? (Homosexuality, abortion, foul language...)

"Don't be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the terrible anger of God comes upon all those who disobey Him. Don't participate in the things these people do. For though your hearts were once full of darkness, now you are full of light from the Lord, and your behavior should show it! For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true." - Ephesians 5:7-9 (NLT)

Are we really loving someone when we accept their sin, or are we enabling them to continue in sin? The best way to love someone is to tell them the truth about sin. The best way to love someone is to lead them toward eternal life in Jesus Christ. And the first step is in gthe above quote: "Don't participate in the things these people do. For though your hearts were once full of darkness, now you are full of light from the Lord, and your behavior should show it!"
