Online Resources Related to Gay Marriage

Here a some online resources that provide information about gay marriage:

The Case for Marriage By Robert H. Knight (Concern Women for America)

Marriage is of such importance that it is uniquely protected in the law and culture. It predates the law and the Constitution, and is an anthropological and sociological reality, not primarily a legal one. No civilization can survive without it, and those societies that allowed it to become irrelevant have faded into history.

The health effects of the homosexual lifestyle by: Timothy J. Dailey, Ph. D.

Homosexual activists attempt to portray their lifestyle as normal and healthy, and insist that homosexual relationships are the equivalent in every way to their heterosexual counterparts. Hollywood and the media relentlessly propagate the image of the fit, healthy, and well-adjusted homosexual. The reality is quite opposite to this caricature which was conceded by the homosexual newspaper New York Blade News.

Do Mothers and Fathers Matter? (PDF) By Maggie Gallagher & Joshua K. Baker (The Institute for Marriage and Public Policy)

Do children do best when they are raised by there own married mothers and fathers? Or are alternative family forms just as good at protection children?

Comparing the Lifestyles of Homosexual Couples to Married Couples by Timothy J. Dailey, Ph. D. (Family Research Council)

Are homosexual households, as the article suggests, simply another variant of human relationships that should be considered, along with marriage, as "part of mainstream American society"?

On the contrary, the evidence indicates that "committed" homosexual relationships are radically different from married couples in several key respects:

Why Homosexual "Marriage is Wrong By Jan LaRue, Chief Counsel Concerned Women for America

Homosexuals are seeking a special right. They already have the same right to marry the rest of us have-the right to marry a person of the opposite sex. Limiting marriage to one man and one woman doesn't discriminate on the basis of sex or sexual orientation.

Homosexual Propaganda Campaign Uses Hitler's 'Big Lie' Technique (PDF) By Lou Sheldon (Traditional Values Coalition)

Homosexuals have done and effective job of shifting public opinion in their favor. But most Americans don't realize that this effort is part of a carefully devised propaganda campaign that has been running for years.

The issue really isn't "Are gay parents better, equal or worse than straight ones?", but "Are married gay parents better than those unable to co-parent because of lack of marriage, etc.?"

Thank you for your comment Jocko.

The issue is: what is the purpose of marriage (supporting the creation of our future generations) and what is best for children. The answer is that marriage between one man and one woman is best for children. Not only the Bible says that, but scientific research also shows the same thing.

We support the Biblical definition of marriage and the Biblical approach to marriage and divorce.

The way to address one problem (divorce) is not to bring in something that is equally wrong (homosexual marriage). The way to address the problem of divorce is to directly address the problem of divorce. This is finally starting to happen. Just yesterday a survey came out that shows that pastors feel the biggest problem facing churches, by far, is divorce. Finally, Christians are starting to recognize that divorce is a problem!! Now that it is starting to be recognized as a problem, instead of being ignored, Christian leaders will start working to solve this problem.
