Jesus Gives Freedom From Religion

Some non-Christians seem worried that they, or their family and friends, will be forced to practice Christianity. You can stop worrying. No one can be forced to become a Christian. Jesus gives you freedom from religion! So if you prefer, just ignore the Christians and go about your life.

You can become a Muslim by saying certain words in front of two witnesses--and you can be forced to say those words and thus be forced to become a Muslim. You can be born a Buddist, or a Hindu, or a Muslim--but you can not be born a Christian. Yes, you can be born into a Christian family, but that does not make you a Christian.

You can only become a Christian when you decide to in your heart--and no one can force you to change the feelings or thoughts in your heart. You must truly believe in Christ as your Savior and Lord, and no one can make you believe something you don't want to believe. Sure a good salesman can trick people into thinking they have something, but that is not true belief. God knows true belief from false belief.

That's why we say Jesus gives you freedom from religion. In Christianity you are free to choose, and only you can choose for you.

So don't be worried. Feel free to listen to what Christians say. You can't be forced, tricked, or sold on becoming a Christian. But also be wary, because you can be tricked, brainwashed, or forced into turning away from Christianity and from eternal life.
