Book of Revelation

Many people find the book of Revelation to be confusing because of all the imagery. Plus issues such as pre-tribulation vs. post-tribulation, and pre-millenial, amillenial and post-millenial make it even more difficult. The problem is that we're making it harder for ourselves.

Brilliant Biblical scholars have debated the issues of the timing of the tribulation and millenial kingdom, without coming to an answer. The problem is that the Bible does not give us the timing, and thus we can't answer these questions. All we know is:

a) Both events will happen
b) We won't known when they will happen
c) When they happen we'll have the answers

If we try to force any other conclusions onto the Bible we are violating Revelation 22:18.

Concerning the imagery. It is all explained in the text of the Book of Revelation. After each revelation, the revelation is explained. But you don't need to figure it all out. The message of the prophetic chapters (4-22) is very simple: God wins.

So the question is, whose side are you on? There are about 3,000 prophecies in the Bible. So far 1,500 have been 100% correct and none have been wrong. There are about 1,500 yet to be fullfilled, most dealing with the end times. Are you willing to bet against a 1,500 and 0 "batting" average?

I am willing to bet that you sucked those numbers out of your thumb. A 1500-and-0 average sounds good but means nothing.
