What's The Point?

The point of Christianity is not what you believe, but who you trust.

*If you want to use the Center for Disease Control as a reference, please point me to a place on their website that supports your "facts". Until then, you are fabricating statistics. If you want to talk about rights, why don’t you define them?

First, Joseph Ellis, author of "Founding Brothers", a national bestseller and Pulitzer Prize winning book states that Jefferson would rather be drawn and quartered than have religion mixing with government. This seems to be contradictory to what you claim. So, please forgive me if I trust the award winning book rather than your suggestions.

Second, when you call me "sad", is that a Christian action or a non-Christian action.

Finally, you may be correct in that religions ultimately separate people into those you can "trust". The idealistic part of me wants to believe that religion is intended to make the world a better, more understanding and tolerant place. You appear willing, only to separate people. My only course of action appears to be to shake my head. The realization has crept in that you will choose to separate people and not strive to be a positive influence on society.

Your main objective of separating people has done wonders for yourself. You have successfully managed to separate yourself from reality. In your alternate dementia, you cross over into sanity only long enough to spread your complete distortion of the facts.

In this great month of February, we are all reminded that somebody had a dream, once. It is unfortunate that your dream is a continuous calamity of biblical proportions. For you fail to even understand some basic concepts that help make society a better place to live.

Why do you insist on hurting people?

By now, I'm sure you have begun to ponder these statements. This is your time to shine. As a "solider" of Christ, you can now defend the intolerance and injustice you stand for. Fanatically, you will rush to your computer to explain to me how wrong I am. You will be giddy with excitement to publish your next dissertation on the world that revolves around you. "The suggestion to let these disgusting homosexuals marry. My GOD! What will happen next?" People may even.. gasp!! enjoy each others company. After you gorge yourself on every last "statistics", "Pulitzer Prize winning", "idealistic", "positive influence" and "fail to understand" comment, I will be looking forward to reading your bulimic post. Then I will, simply, shake my head. Please, hatch your next demonstration of inequality.

We will never understand each other. You will think I am wrong. I will think of you as a crazy bigot.

You admit to being a recovering pornographic fiend. I would guess you have traded one addiction for another. If you want to discuss this, I would show sympathy for you.

As my previous references to the study on the Negative Health Effects of Homosexuality are buried in the comments--and I noticed the search feature Blogger supplies does not seem to be working, I've provided a new post providing this information.

I'm wondering, should I consider you a good example of someone who is tolerant and loving?

That is all you have to say? You never address any of my points, especially the better ones. I am going to guess that you agree with me about Mr. Ellis. You have no comments on how religion separates people?

Should you consider me as one that is tolerant and loving? Are you asking me that question or thinking out loud? You can be sure of one thing; I have little patience for injustice. I think you are a bright person. You are capable of so much more than maintaining a website that promotes homophobia. I wish I could see you embrace and celebrate people for who they are. So, come on Hilary Faye, I mean Pastor Skip, I mean Davis, I mean MTA, I mean.. what was your name? Anyway, as I was saying. You do not know me much more than these posts.

Sorry, I'm using a computer that still had a cookie set for someone else whose is no longer here.

Yes, I'm really asking this question. I'm not thinking out loud. Are you an example
of someone who is tolerant and loving? Are you a role model to be followed?

You wish to bring in Joseph Ellis, the Mt. Holyoke professor who lied extensively about his past and use him as an authority?

I used to live a few miles from the Mt. Holyoke campus. I can say this about Mt. Holyoke--it's a very beautiful campus and it is a generally very liberal and biased school. So far you are 0-2 at finding sources that are not extremely biased (to the point of being fanatically biased, and in the case of Mr. Ellis being a documented liar). Why don't you try again to find a somewhat more balanced source?
