You say you have been serving God all your life. After reading your email I have to wonder if this is true.

I assume you've been doing a lot of good things. That you are basically a good person and you've been good to others, and helped other people. Many people do good things, but that does not mean they are serving God.

But you did not talk about this, so I must ask, how have you been serving God? What is the #1 thing God wants you to do?

Are you reading the Bible regularly?

Did you know that the Bible says that the more we serve the Lord, the more we will suffer. The better Christian we are, the greater our suffering will be.

"Now if we are children [of God], then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory." - Romans 8:17 (NIV)

"Join me in suffering for the gospel" - 2 Timothy 1:8 (NIV)

But Christians have joy in suffering, because we know our suffering results from our love for the Lord.

"But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when His glory is revealed." - 1 Peter 4:13 (NIV)

Christians can expect suffering, but I don't think you are a Christian. You said that you've been baptised three times. But I've not read anything in what you wrote that indicates you are truly a Christian.

Baptism does not make someone a Christian.

I do not know what God's plan for you is, or how He is working in your life. But my guess is that you are trying to please God on your own. That you have been working hard to do things that please God, so that in return God will bless you and let you into heaven.

I have two questions for you:

1) If you should die today, would you go to heaven?

I expect that you would say yes. (If I am wrong, please let me know.)

2) You have died and you are standing before God at the gates of heaven. God asks you, "Why should I let you into my heaven?" What is your answer?

My guess is that your answer is that you've been a good person. You've done a lot of good things. You're better than some other people you know. You haven't murdered anyone. You've been mosatly good, so God should let you in.
